New Pub Menu!!!
September 2nd, 2008 by Mike Rinehart

The Thirsty Ear Pub now has a professional kitchen!!! The Thirsty Ear Pub and Campus Dining have put together an amazing (and, in classic Ear-fashion, affordable) pub menu for the Thirsty Ear! So forget ordering out for late night pizza again — just stop by the Ear and grab a burger and a pint! Or maybe Chili? Or perhaps Panini, or Grilled Cheese, or Garlic Shrimp, or Chicken Wings, or Apple Pie, or…. well, you get the idea. You should probably just come down and check out the menu.

For the week of September 2nd, we will be using a shortened version of our full menu, available here. It’s a real sign of things to come!

The Thirsty Ear pub is excited to announce that the first annual Spring-tober Fest will be held on Friday, April 4th at 5-8pm. We’ve invited Sam Adams, Cambridge Brewing Company, Rapscallion, Harpoon, Magic Hat, and Rock Bottom Brewery. Each company will bring 2-3 beers, and the first 25 people get a Thirsty Ear shirt. Tasting tickets are $10 at the door. The intent of the Spring-tober Fest is to broaden your knowledge of beer, promote responsible drinking through education at the Thirsty Ear, and help to forge relationships that will last a lifetime beyond MIT.

IAP Beer Tasting Class
November 26th, 2007 by Mike Rinehart

We are hosting a Beer Tasting class over IAP!

The course will invite Brewmasters from the local Boston breweries such as Harpoon, Sam Adams, Beer Works, and the Seven’s Pub to join MIT students in an educational experience discussing beer. The course will discuss the steps in the fermenting process, ingredients and expected tastes, and the production supply chain from raw ingredients to a bottled product shipped to the consumer.

See http://student.mit.edu/iap/nc12.html for details.
